Schoolyard Townhomes

Located on a former elementary school site, the Schoolyard Townhomes is a thirty-two-unit development of two- and three-bedroom townhomes. Adjacent to the newly planned Tonganoxie Public Library, the development is a key component that will provide a new neighborhood for workers and their families relocating to this growing rural community.

The scale and design of the housing forms were carefully integrated with the existing neighborhood and created a network of covered front porches. Siding profiles, stone, and color are modulated for a modern take on the bungalow and craftsman traditional home. The open plan includes generous windows, storage, and both front and back outdoor amenities, while the second story of the three-bedroom units provides a unique outdoor roof deck.
